When I asked him to optimize PL/SQL procedures in our compensation rules engine, he didn't only apply routine tuning; he examined architectural trade-offs, clarified constraints, and documented the rationale behind his choices. Sherif was in my class, SFWE 301 Software Engineering Requirements Analysis and Testing, he demonstrated a high academic performance, always participating and showing skills on problem-solving, teamwork and technical skills as well in coding. I found that he was always ready to work and to push others to do the work they were supposed to do. Also, I noticed that he has great skills and ambitions in the software engineering field. He was in charge to lead his team during the developing of the SRS and implementation as well. I recall that I asked his team permission to share their first draft because they did a very good job.

In one of his course assignments, he analyzed the impact of interference on wireless throughput using an experimental setup and presented his findings concisely—among the stronger submissions in the class. Beyond his technical capabilities, Sherif is highly disciplined and committed. He was always punctual, met deadlines reliably, and often submitted work that exceeded the basic requirements. I am confident that Sherif will make a meaningful and positive contribution.

His dedication and commitment were further recognized when he was chosen as a mentor for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Ambassadors Program at Assiut University—the first program of its kind in Upper Egypt. This prestigious role was awarded to him because of his leadership qualities, profound understanding of sustainable development, and his status as a certified trainer by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
